"Just listened to "For Ginger, Who Knew".
Now, I'm too intimidated to respond.
Pure awesomeness."
Jenny Lawson, The Bloggess.com

"From distant shores to local dives to lovers' beds, the poetry here takes unexpected turns on every page. It is serious as life and death, as vulnerable as a single touch."
Andrei Gurianu, Broome County Poet Laureate 2008-2010

This past year, JBW attended 'The Isle of Arran Poetry Adventure 2013,' performing in a pub in Lamlash, on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. He'll be back there in late June for this year's adventure.

The Broome County Arts Council (BCAC), awarded J. Barrett Wolf a 2012 United Cultural Fund (UCF) grant in order for him to produce "Here and There: Poets from Near and Far," a five-reading series paring local poets with poets from the greater northeastern US. The series will begin in April and continue through November.

The readings included local poets Jessica Dubey, Joe Weil, Nicole Santalucia, Jerry Mirskin and Emily Vogel. Out of town poets included Adeke Rose of Baltimore, MD; Ryk McIntyre from Providence, RI; George Wallace of Huntington, NY; Kempton B. Van Hoff of Anityville, NY and Sean Thomas Dougherty from Erie, PA.

It is notable that J. Barrett Wolf was the ONLY individual artist to receive a 2012 grant.
